So I finally did it. I launched CodeWithNeo Tools — a collection of free tools I've been building over the past few months. No sign-ups. No subscriptions. No ads. Just tools that work.
I want to talk a bit about why I built this and what tools are already live.
Why I Built This
Honestly, it started out of frustration.
Every time I needed a quick tool — to resize an image, test an API, or look up DNS records — I'd end up on some random website that either asked me to create an account, showed me 10 popups, or put the feature I needed behind a paywall.
It's annoying. These are simple things. They shouldn't require a subscription.
So I started building my own. One tool at a time. And then I thought — why not put them all in one place?
That's how tools.codewithneo.com was born.
What Tools Are Live Right Now
Here's everything that's available today, completely free:
IdeaMiner — This one's probably my favourite. If you're a developer or founder trying to find your next SaaS idea, IdeaMiner searches Reddit, GitHub, Hacker News and other places for real user complaints and pain points. It then groups them into actual product ideas. Really useful if you're stuck on what to build next.
NeoNotepad — A clean, no-fuss online notepad. Open it, type, done. Nothing fancy, just works.
NeoCurl — Ever wanted to test an API without opening your terminal? NeoCurl is basically a visual curl tool in your browser. Build your request, hit send, see the response.
NeoGrep — Paste any block of text and search through it using regex. Super handy when you're dealing with logs or messy data and just need to find something fast.
NeoRecon — A domain and IP reconnaissance tool. Great for security researchers, developers, or anyone who wants to quickly check DNS records, WHOIS info, and IP details for any domain.
NeoResizer — Drag in an image, set the size or target file size, download. That's it. All processing happens in your browser, so your files never leave your device.
OttoPriceTracker — Paste a product URL and Otto will keep an eye on the price for you. Useful if you're waiting for something to go on sale.
ScreenCap — Take, crop, and annotate screenshots right from your browser. No browser extensions needed.
FolioConverter — Upload a PDF, Word doc, image, or spreadsheet and convert it to whatever format you need. Clean and fast.
HarScope — This one is for the developers and QA folks. Upload a HAR file, and HarScope shows you every network request, response, header, and timing in a proper visual layout. Much easier than reading raw JSON.
Everything Is Free — For Real
I want to be clear about this because a lot of "free" tools are only free until they're not.
Everything on CodeWithNeo Tools is genuinely free. There are no premium tiers, no limits hiding behind a paywall, and no accounts required. If I ever had to change that for any tool, I'd remove it from the collection rather than lock it behind a gate.
Most tools also run entirely in your browser, which means your data stays on your device. No uploads to some server I control.
More Tools Are Coming
There are a few more in development right now — a resume builder with ATS scoring, a visual cron expression tool, an AI prompt manager, and a few others. I'll add them to the hub as they're ready.
If you have an idea for a tool you'd genuinely find useful, you can suggest it on the contact page. If it fits the collection, I'll build it.
Try It Out
Head over to tools.codewithneo.com and have a look around. Everything is free to use right now. No account needed, no credit card, nothing.
If something is broken or you run into issues with any of the tools, let me know. I'm actively working on all of them.
Hope you find something useful in there.
